I chose this prairie style, gingerbread mantel clock to enshrine this hand carved wooden statue. I am not sure who this lady is supposed to be or what object she is holding in her left hand and arm. She looked angelic and the wooden flower placed behind her head makes her look even more like a statue of Mary. The statue, the wooden wheat and flowers all came together very nicely with the wood tones of this clock. I decided to use the clock upside down because it helps draw your eye upwards. The two birds flanking the statue have cameo-like sea shell material inlaid for wings. They are a beautiful set. At the bottom of the clock, I placed 3 small drawer pulls to add a bit of brass tone to the wood.
