Alone with My Thoughts

17” tall, 9” wide, 5” deep (Free Standing or Wall Hanging)

The airport is where I most often find myself alone with my thoughts, even though I am usually surrounded by throngs of people. I find a lot of peace at the airport and I enjoy my time alone, waiting. There are so many great pieces of brass in here. The brass knobs that are around the cherub’s head were rescued from the trash at the Field Museum of Chicago. My son woks there and asked me if I wanted them. The 2 buttons on either side of the cherub were rescued from an old Navy uniform that was destined for the trash. The brass pieces that are bent and fitted over the base are from a broken women’s belt. The cherub itself was a part of a broken wall sconce, I think its a metal cast with a bronze finish
